Gold Coast Daylilies
Lincoln

Owners: Stan & Bonnie Holley

Sometimes a hobby can take over your life. Gold Coast Daylilies is the result of a “hobby gone wild.” Stan and Bonnie Holley began collecting daylilies only seven years ago when a friend, Jeff Corbett, introduced them to the wonder of hybridizing. Their backyard hobby has evolved into a passion -- dedicated to the collection, cultivation and display of daylilies. Nestled against the Sierra foothills just two miles north of the City of Lincoln, Gold Coast Daylilies is a family-owned mail order nursery on 13 acres. They feature a growing collection of over 850 varieties of the newest daylilies created from top hybridizers across the country. With the addition of a state-of-the-art greenhouse, the Holleys are creating new and more beautiful daylilies. Their primary hybridizing goal is to produce high quality plants that will thrive across all regions. The Gold Coast Daylilies color catalog highlights some of their favorite new cultivars such as “Turn Up the Volume”, a stunning 7 inch full-formed daylily with a striking red-orange eye and a large matching edge often exceeding a half inch in width. The catalog also offers daylilies priced as low as $10 to as much as $200 for exceptional, rare varieties. During the bloom season from mid-May through late June, the garden is open for visitation by appointment only. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday due to shipping and maintenance chores. Stan and Bonnie look forward to sharing the garden with our daylily friends. If you are interested in visiting their garden, please call (916) 624-4409 for an appointment.
